Stop overpayingon sports cards

Normal scanner apps average a few sales and call it your card’s value. Avelix reads the whole market to get you the exact price to pay for a real profit once you resell.*

The problem

Where regular tools fall short

You paid the comp value but forgot the fees come out of your pocket.

There's a fee to buy and a fee to sell, and the comp value accounts for neither. The math was against you before you paid.

The card was "worth" $300 but sells once every two months.

A high value means nothing if it won't move. Your cash sat locked in a card that takes months to sell.

You bought at the last comp's price. The player's market had halved since then.

Old sales read like current prices when you're moving fast. The market had already left that number behind.

The app gave you a $100–$200 range. You figured $180 was fine and lost money.

A spread that big isn't an answer. It's the app making you guess what to pay.

The engine

Why Avelix’s number is better

Normal scanner apps average a few recent sales and stop. Avelix runs every card through a six-step process first.

Avelix cuts the junk comps first: wrong parallels, lots, the same card from a different year. What’s left is the real market, nothing else.

When a card's own sales go quiet, its last comp is old news. Avelix isolates where the market's moved since: player, set, year, parallel. Then it weighs those signals to price the card at today's value.

Not all comps deserve equal say. A sale from this week tells you more than a sale from two months ago, so Avelix counts recent sales heaviest and lets old ones fade in influence instead of pulling the price toward where the market used to be.

Avelix builds a second opinion from related cards using player, parallel, and grade ratios, then tests the card’s own comps against it. If they disagree, it runs more checks and leans the price toward the stronger signal.

Slow cards tie up your money, so Avelix lowers their buy price. But it checks why first: a gold /10 of a star player sells rarely because only ten exist, not because nobody wants it, so it isn’t punished. A common card of a less-known player with little sales history is a demand problem, and takes the full cut.

Other apps stop at value. Avelix reads liquidity in context, sets a margin that fits the card’s price range, subtracts your fees and shipping, and hands you one number. When data runs low, it says so.

No comps? No problem

Cards with no comps? Priced anyway.

Some cards have no recent direct comps, like a Jayson Tatum /3 or a 1/1 nobody can price. Avelix triangulates across parallel tiers to get you one buy price, and flags it when the data runs low.
